Home Away from Home

I have a new project going that I am pretty excited about.  My husband and I purchased a small place on Greers Ferry Lake.  We have been looking off and on for about two years.  We both had kind of given up on finding something in our price range.  A family member who lives around the lake called me and said that one of his neighbors was selling.  We checked it out and found it to be a perfect fit for our family.  It is a three bedroom two bath.  We are currently replacing the carpet with laminate flooring.  I am going to put in a few pictures now but will put more later when I can do some before and after shots.  Have a great weekend !

Birthday Party's are fun !

February was the first birthday party of the 2011 year.  Ellie turned 5. Her parents chose to have her party at a gym with the large blow up toys.  Everyone had a big time including some of the parents !

March has had a lot of excitement for us too. 









Sawyer and Kort turned 2.  They are cousins and are less than 24 hours apart in age.  Their parents chose to have a pony ride party.  So

much fun !!!!

Sharing my Heart with you !

Wow! This morning I was up at three am.  As bad as  I wanted to, I just could not fall back asleep.  I crawled out of bed and got the coffee pot up and busy.  Of course I couldn't get up alone ! Now the dog thinks it's time to get up.....Okay, dog taken care of.  Next thing on my list , sleep!  already tried that, didn't work. Now I have the list for the rest of the day made and feel somewhat satisfied with myself. 

I can't get Ticia off my mind this morning.  She has been hurting so bad the last few weeks with a terrible headache and the doctors don't have an answer.  As a mother that worries you to death....I want to fix it ! This has been the hardest thing I have faced in my life so far, watching my child hurt while not being able to physically do anything about it. I need God to touch Ticia. 

The pictures may not seem to fit the words to you but when I think about the Love of God I instantly think about the family that God has blessed me with !

I listen to a few songs hoping to find comfort and strength.  The very first song is about The Love of God ! God's Love is measureless , strong and enduring. To write the Love of God would drain the ocean dry.

I pray that God will help me to say It is Well with my Soul and fully trust in him.  Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine !  I am an heir of salvation, Letty Fuller the daughter of the King of Kings. This is my story......Can you guess what song I'm hearing now ? What a blessed woman I am.  This is just a few of the people I am blessed with.  I have a large extended family that I am very thankful for.

Out of the Box

During our brief snow storm I finally unpacked the new cookware.  It made it as far as the dinning table.  Guess I'm still not planning on doing much cooking.  I really do like it though.  I use to cook more than I do now.  Kenny started doing most of our cooking in the past five years.  He enjoys it more than I do.  Kenny does not clean up behind himself as much as I would like but I don't complain since he is cooking !
This weekend has been disappointing because I have been sick the whole time.  Started out last weekend with my grand kids being sick.  I thought since I had gone all week and was fine that I had escaped but Friday morning things took a different turn.  I am glad I had the weekend to lay around on the couch.

Hoping that this next week will bring better health for my family and that we can all get back to a little bit of normal.  Hope you all have a great week.  Spring please come soon ! Letty

Something to talk about ??

I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks because I didn't think I had anything great to write about.  Today I remembered that every day is something great and that I could find something to say.  Sitting here in the living room I see a box of brand new cookware that I have had for a month.  Not even all the way out of the box.  I've had just enough time to open the box and rummage through.  Guess that means one of two things, either I didn't need the cookware that bad or I haven't been cooking that much. I will get around to getting it all out and wash them soon. 

Do you know what a " front room " is ?  The other day we were at Sam's Club and there was a lady there selling massage chairs.  She kept making reference to the  front room, She would say that most women like these chairs in their front room.    After we left it dawned on me that the rooms are now more commonly known as The Living Room or Great Room.  I forgot all about the Front Room !

Three of my grand-children are sick with the stomach bug.  Last year Ellie was sick and in the hospital on her birthday.  Tomorrow is her birthday. I hope she is not so sick that she has to go there again.  Bad enough to be sick on your birthday

Okay, I have bored myself along with you too I'm sure so I will wait and see what happens next.  I suppose we are going to get more snow in about 36 hours from now. Gotta go milk and bread !

Chili Dog Sunday

Sunday started out the same as most Sunday's do for me.  Early church service and then home to prepare dinner for the  family.  Most of the time we have your traditional roast and potatoes or an occasional pasta dish.  But a few weeks ago I discovered through a dinner put together from left overs that my family liked chili dogs.  That is why on this Sunday we are having a Chili Dog Sunday.  Two pounds of ground beef for the chili , two packages of hot dogs and buns, and cheese sauce on the side. I can't forget Kenny's not so sweet, sweet tea !

After everyone had satisfied their hot dog craving there was a joint effort in the kitchen clean up.  I have a good crew to pitch in and help.  We even have a good time doing the dishes...

Now that the kitchen was clean we could get on to the really important things of the day !!! Play Time !!

I always enjoy having the family over to eat, that is usually all we ever get together and do....sometimes we play the Wii but not without food before or after...ha ha ! Hope everyone had a great Chili Dog Sunday !  I sure did ......Letty

A Dog Story

If you live long enough you will loose someone close to you.  That happen to Kenny and I the summer of 2010.  We lost our friend " BABE " . She was a beautiful black lab.  She had liver failure and we had to let her go.  Babe and I had only recently became close.  We moved to a different house in the fall of 2009 and prior to that when we lived in the other house Babe stayed in our back yard.  I only saw Babe if I went out on the patio which was not that often.  She was more like Kenny's dog, in fact she was a birthday gift to Kenny.  After we moved to our new location Babe was able to roam around the yard more and had her bed in the garage.  So every morning she was there to greet me when I left for work and every afternoon she was there to greet me when I came home.  We became good friends.  We spent time on the patio together and even took walks in  our new neighborhood together.   The day we had to make the choice to let her go was a hard one. I still miss Babe and have her collar on my night stand. But the story doesn't end there. Only a short few weeks after our beloved Babe left us we were blessed with a little rescue dog.  It took us three weeks to name her because we were determined not to keep her. We were only going to be a holding place while we found another home.  After three weeks Kenny said that we may as well name her because she had found her home now ! Turns out that we named her Katie !  She might be a Jack Russell  but not for sure.  She was about six months old when she came to live with the Fuller's

Katie is not at all the type of dog I would want but turns out that she is the sweetest most grateful dog ever ! 

Oh ! I forgot to mention that Kenny had his mind made up that he was going to have another black lab and the order for one had been placed before Katie showed up. So we were about to have two dogs.

September 11, 2010 we had some grace brought into our lives.  Grace is the name of the new black lab and she was born on 911 !  Now to say the least I was pretty concerned about her birthday being a sign of what was to come from that dog.  So far she has proved that concern to be fairly accurate.  Grace is like a bull in a china shop. Kenny loves her dearly and she goes to work with him everyday.  Grace thinks that Katie is her play toy and sometimes Katie has to just put Grace in her place.  Katie can always out run Grace. I have never considered myself to be a dog person / lover however I am dedicated to making sure these two babies have a darn good doggy life ! Letty
